Privacy Policy

Undercurrent is a small press selling digital journals (PDF downloads). This policy says what we collect, why, and what we never do. Short on purpose — we collect very little.

What we collect

• When you buy: your email address and payment details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see your full card number. We keep your email to deliver your download and help if you write to us.
• When you leave your email (e.g. for a free sample or the printed-edition list): we store it to send you exactly that, and occasional notes about new journals. Unsubscribe anytime with one click or one email.
• When you browse: our host (Cloudflare) logs standard technical data (IP, browser, pages viewed) for security and reliability. We run no advertising trackers and sell nothing to anyone.

What we never do

• We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
• We never run third-party advertising pixels on this site.
• We never use your writing, your downloads, or your behavior to train AI models.

Third parties we rely on

• Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy applies to payment data).
• Cloudflare — hosting, file delivery, and security.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your personal data. Email hello@undercurrentjournal.com and we will do it within 30 days. If you are in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, you have GDPR rights including access, deletion, portability, and the right to complain to your local authority.

Data retention & deletion

Order records are kept as required for tax and accounting. Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe. Download links expire automatically (72 hours; a fresh one is always available by email). When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update this page and the date above. Material changes get a note on the homepage for 30 days.
